The glass used is regular clear glass melted into cobalt glazes, I have melted the glass over a clay ammonite which was previously cast into plaster to make the mold.
The porcelain key in the second image was also cast and infused within the glaze and the glass.
I really like using different clays together with different glass to create these effects, and as you would expect no two are alike.

This mottled effect was made using dried glaze powder flecked onto the moss green glaze and glass added onto the circular porcelain disc For more bowls made this way please check into my folksy shop where they are being sold individually. |
