More Glass Fusing with clear glass and copper and brass inclusions

I have been trying out some new designs with these copper and brass infused glass pieces. I have continued with the folk/Scandinavian inspired theme this Christmas and have added some little copper Dala horses and infused them between two sheets of clear glass.
Opening the kiln to glass infused firings is new for me, its great! These little pieces have sparkle.

glass melted into pottery dishes

The glass used is regular clear glass melted into cobalt glazes, I have melted the glass over a clay ammonite which was previously cast into plaster to make the mold.

The porcelain key in the second image was also cast and infused within the glaze and the glass.

I really like using different clays together with different glass to create these effects, and as you would expect no two are alike.

Here you can see the porcelain key immersed within the glass and glaze.

This mottled effect was made using dried glaze powder flecked onto the moss green glaze and glass added onto the circular porcelain disc

For more bowls made this way please check into my folksy shop where they are being sold individually.

Personalisation (Ceramic clouds)

These little cloud plaques have become very popular and I have made dozens of them now. These two have to be my favourites though

Glass fusion experiments

After a recent course I attended in Glass fusion, we have implemented this into the Art department.
Here are some of my pieces from the course and experiments since.
Glass fusing with copper inclusions

Also with copper inclusions and lots of glass bead, done on the course.

These I did at home and have not been fired just yet, they are clear glass with copper and brass sheet inclusions. These I have made at home.

This one I also did at home and fired but as you can see it is underfed as it hasn't fully fused.

Also a small piece made on the course
