Lovely Old Book.... Anatomical Diagrams for Art students

Well my Art student days are far away behind me now but this book would have been put to great use then, when I was taking figure drawing class two/three times a week. Friends back then will remember my drawings and paintings to be fine until you take note of the hands and fingers. (Mittens some might say, others might call them blurs, I on the other hand just knew that hands take so much time to get right I am impatient by nature, so they were an area of the drawing in need of T.L.C.
Oh to have had this lovely book then, it shows all the bone structure of parts of the body and muscle tone to help you to draw.
Salvaged from the Art department clear out.
I just  love this old book

  2. I used this book a little in my figure drawing class, then put aside as it seemed much too detailed for me. However, as I am now getting back into art and especially that of figure drawing, I am glad I kept this book in its near pristine state. Oh, how marvelous to note the intricacy of the body that God shaped, formed, created! This old tent we wear is pretty incredible--its function and form so unique, yet with similar features that gives our copying it in charcoal, ink, oils, pastels-- or whatever media used--a basis that is recognizable by all.

    1. Yes it is a really lovely book. My life drawing days are over mostly now, I don't have so much time to do it anymore wish I had owned this book then.
